Locality: Atlas Mountains of Southern Morocco, In the Northern Fringe of the Sahara Desert
Ortheceras are the fossilized remains of an extinct marine animal of the Cephalopod family. They are ancestors to the modern day Squid and Octopus, and are dated to the Devonian Period about 500 million years ago.
Ortheceras are thought to possess physical healing powers & are considered to increase the life span of a wearing individual by reducing toxins, stress, and anxiety. Healers use Ortheceras fossils to enhance telepathy and stimulate the mind.
